hired Epstein to manage his money; gave him power of attorney
Scholarship & press
11121314
Wexner says he ended it in 2007, when he fired Epstein as his adviser, and that they never spoke again. Records released by the Justice Department show the two in touch in June 2008, after the plea deal was announced. He told the House Oversight Committee he was “conned” and knew of no crime. In a 2019 letter he said Epstein had taken money from him and his family; no court ruling on that was found. CBS reported in February 2026 that he had not been charged.

AP wrote in January 2026 that no survivor who has gone public has accused him of wrongdoing, and that he said he had no knowledge Epstein was abusing underage girls. A prosecutor’s note of January 2020, as AP reported it, said he had flown on Epstein’s plane more often than was known; that is the note’s claim.

JNS names it as the Wexner Foundation, for 2004 to 2006, when Epstein was a trustee; the foundation says Barak, then out of office, was paid in full for two books, delivering one manuscript and an outline. Israel’s High Court rejected a petition over the payment in 2020. A complaint to police in March 2026, by a Likud lawmaker and an NGO, says new documents contradict the foundation; no outcome was found, and no charge appears in the sources read.
