Jackie Bezos, born Jacklyn Gise, was the daughter of Lawrence Preston Gise and became a mother at 17. She married Mike Bezos when her son Jeff Bezos was four.

In 1995 she and Mike Bezos were among the first outside investors in Amazon: Amazon’s 1997 prospectus records share purchases worth about $245,573. With her husband she founded the Bezos Family Foundation, which works on early learning. She died in August 2025.
