Report of the parliamentary commission on P2 (1984). Majority report, Doc. XXIII n. 2, IX legislature.

12 Jul 1984

Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry on the P2 Lodge authored Report of the parliamentary commission on P2 (1984).

The report finds that P2 had become a secret association, and that in the Sindona and Calvi affairs it was a privileged meeting place and crossing point of relations, protections and silence. It does not say the IOR or its managers belonged to the lodge. English summary of the quotes: “it is by now a secret association”; “in both affairs the P2 lodge was a privileged meeting place and crossing point of relations, protections and silence”. This is the majority report; the report names neither Marcinkus nor the Vatican, and the IOR appears only in its account of Rizzoli.
